To acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our student presenters, SER is offering the opportunity for student poster and oral presentations to be competitively judged (must be a currently enrolled student, either part-time or full time). Judges will assess presentations based on scientific content, style, organization of information, context, and written or oral delivery.

Form Submission

Monetary awards will be offered to those who stand out in their respective categories:

SER2023 in Darwin, Australia (September)

Poster Presentation (please note that all posters submitted to SER2023 will be displayed in Darwin, as the virtual component will not include a poster session. Poster presenters not attending Darwin in-person will have the opportunity to submit an audio file, if desired)

  • One (1) winner will receive $750 AUD
  • One (1) runner-up will receive $250 AUD (this may be split between 2 runners-up)

Oral Presentation

  • One (1) winner will receive $750 AUD
  • One (1) runner-up will receive $250 AUD (this may be split between 2 runners-up)

Virtual Conference (November)

Oral Presentation

  • One (1) winner will receive $750 AUD
  • One (1) runner-up will receive $250 AUD (this may be split between 2 runners-up)

To submit your presentation to be included in the student awards competition, please complete our online form by 10 September. If you do not complete the form by this date, your presentation will not be included in the judging process. 

Complete the SER2023 Student Oral and Poster Presentation Acceptance of Judging Form to be considered. If you are giving multiple presentations, please submit a separate form for each presentation you would like to have judged.
